We are proud to offer instrumental instruction once again to our fourth and fifth grade students at both beginning and advanced levels of instrumental music. Students can choose from these ensemble instruments that are included in band or orchestra:
flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola and cello.
Some wonderful students at DVHS made this website that might be helpful for choosing an instrument. Music Instrument "Petting Zoo"
Ensemble classes will be held on Thursdays starting September 5.. Students are responsible for any regular class work that is missed while participating in Ensemble. Vocal Music will be held for all grade levels on Fridays.
3rd, 4th and 5th grade students may join our Chorus Ensemble! Chorus will take place on Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:00.
To sign up, please fill out the google form ENSEMBLE MUSIC.
We ask that you then visit the Web store to make your donation of $150.00 for Chorus and $150.00 for Instrumental Music. It is through these donations that we are able to have these wonderful programs! We are looking forward to their performances througout the year!

MEET BRAD PARESE- ENSEMBLE DIRECTOR
Brad Parese is a baritone, conductor, guitarist and teacher, and joined the San Ramon Valley Unified School District faculty in 2022. He is a product of SRVUSD schools, graduating from San Ramon Valley High School in 2015. Mr. Parese received his Bachelors’ Degree in Music Education from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, California. At Pacific, he studied voice with Lynelle Wiens, conducting with Yejee Choi and Jenny Wong, music education with Ruth Brittin and Eric Hammer, and was heavily involved in the Conservatory’s various choral and vocal ensembles. He was a member of Pacific Singers, was a founding member of the Pacific Vocal Jazz Ensemble and served as the Vice President of the Pacific Stocktones, the University’s student-led a cappella group. Mr. Parese received his Master’s Degree in Choral Music from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. At USC, he studied under the tutelage of Jo-Michael Scheibe, Cristian Grases, Tram Sparks and Nick Strimple, was a member of both Concert Choir and Chamber Signers, and served as Assistant Conductor of University Chorus. An active performer, he has performed with choirs throughout the United States and Central Europe in some of the world's most renown venues, including several appearances at Carnegie Hall, under the batons of Jerry Blackstone, Eph Ehly, Galen Darrough, Sonja Sepulveda and Eric Whitacre. He holds membership in the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Beta Theta Pi.
