Meet the Teachers
Kristine Ackermann - F5 |
I am thrilled to be back at Hidden Hills for another year. I have been teaching for over 20 years. My career began overseas in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. I have also taught in Bakersfield, CA and of course here in SRVUSD.
I'm originally from San Luis Obispo, CA. I earned my B.S. in Psychology and Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I then went on to earn my teaching credential from Chapman University.
I'm married to another teacher, Erich Ackermann. He teaches at Coyote Creek Elementary. We have two children, Audrey (12 yrs.) and Ethan (9 yrs.). They keep us active with sports and all of their other activities. I personally enjoy walking, reading, riding my bike, and gardening.
I began teaching in SRVUSD back in 2004 right after I first moved to the Bay Area. I've been at Hidden Hills since 2011. I'm looking forward to working with you as your child grows in 2nd grade. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." Thanks for letting me be part of your village!

I am so excited to be back at Hidden Hill’s for another year. I have been in the teaching profession for over 20 years and have been fortunate enough to teach here in Northern California as well as Southern California and Minnesota.
I received my B.A. in Psychology and my Masters of Education from UCLA. I started teaching in 1987. I then took some time off to raise my three children: Jake (24), Zachary (21) and Emma (16). In my free time I like to read, go to the movies and indoor cycle.
I love working at Hidden Hills because the students, staff and parents all want the same thing for the children—for them to be happy and successful! This school takes pride in all its students and always puts the students first! I look forward to experiencing this wonderful journey through second/third grade with all of you.
